On Thursday, December 13th, the McMains Childrens Developmental Center hosted its annual Christmas Party sponsored by Al Azar Grotto. The children and their families were greeted with a special visit from Santa Claus. All of the children had their photos taken with Santa, played Christmas games, and Center therapists painted their faces with holiday designs. The Al Azar Grotto provided festive treats and entertainment with clowns. A t-shirt design contest was held in late November for the Center clients. The winning design was created by Kori Brown and was featured on the Christmas shirts given to the children by the members of Al Azar Grotto. Smith Barney donated Christmas bags filled with precious goodies for the children. United Blood Services donated teddy bears and handed them out to the children at the party. McMains Childrens Developmental Center is a United Way Agency and affiliate of United Cerebral Palsy.
