Julian can now converse with other people through a communication device with a head switch.
Julians dad said that the center has been effective in treating his speech and language delay.
Prior to coming to the center, Julian only used the Dynavox as a way to communicate.
But now, his father is happy that,
through the communication device, to read using a phonetics based approach. The McMains Center prides itself on being the only place in Baton Rouge to teach non-verbal children how to read. During physical therapy Julian works on using a switch to access his Dynavox.
