Come work at the McMains Children’s Developmental Center! If you are looking for a fulfilling job, with an amazing mission driving your work each day, look no further than the McMains Center. The Center is comprised of a group of highly creative, fun, and passionate professionals who work together as a team to provide the best therapy services for children in Baton Rouge and the surrounding parishes.

Offering competitive salary and benefits, the McMains Children’s Developmental Center is seeking a registered Occupational Therapist to work full-time as part of its well-knit multidisciplinary team. Experience in pediatrics is required (will consider new grads who have completed a Level II Pediatric Fieldwork experience). The Center is a teaching facility welcoming Level I and Level II Occupational Therapy interns as well as COTA interns.

OTs have access to a climbing wall, adapted gardens, and playground along with the occupational therapy gym. Client caseload ranges from ages 0 to 18 years including children with cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, developmental delays, autism, visual impairments, and sensory integration/processing difficulties.

Another feature that sets the McMains Children’s Developmental Center apart from other facilities is that it goes beyond the therapy. The Center offers supplemental programs that assist children and families in living their best lives outside of the Center. The Wheels to Succeed program provides adapted bikes to children, Capable Arts Camp is a one-week summer art camp that includes siblings, and the Annual Canoe Trip at Tickfaw State Park is a family favorite. This is a great place to work to experience a holistic approach to helping children with disabilities and developmental delays. Join us in our mission to advance the quality of life for children and their families by providing physical, developmental, academic and communication services.
